Hi Jackie,

I'm told Amazon do ship to 'the south' but not their subsidiaries.

I can indeed see many skills that could be added and so it's only a matter of time that we get sorted here.

Best,

Tony Sweeney.

Hi Tony

The skills are growing, so hopefully there will be plenty to get you going
if you can get it down south as they say here in the north!!

Hi Jackie,

Thanks for that and indeed I do have WiFi.

By the way I understand that the Dot will work in The Republic of Ireland
although we will not as yet have all the skills for it here yet but will
need to find out if Amazon ship to the ROI but now that the product is
available in the UK it may only be a short while till they do if they don't
already.

Best,

Tony Sweeney.

Hi Tony

If you have WiFi, then essentially yes.  When you set up your Dot,
what you need to do is turn it on, wait a minute or two, then go to
WiFi settings, and click on the Amazon icon it brings up.  Then you go
back to the setup screen on the app, or in your case, the website, and
type in your WiFi password when prompted.  As I have said before, I
used the app specifically for that, then used the website thereafter.
I have heard it can be done solely from the website, and as long as
you know where to go on your PC to find the Amazon Echo icon in the
settings, it should work.  If you are unsure though, contact Amazon
Customer Services unless anyone else can verify this.

Hi Jackie,

I don't have a smart phone and would very much like to get the Dot so
can one do this all through the website?

Hi Mike

Personally I would do it via the app, then ditch it and use the website.

Subject: [access-uk] easy way to connect Echo

Hello Everyone

I believe there is more than one way to connect an Amazon Echo.  What
is the simplest way of achieving this.?

With thanks

Mike..
