A keyboard shortcut that should work with any assistive technology and Firefox or Internet Explorer on Windows is alt D. That should select the address or location bar, and select the URL that is in it. More delicious keyboard shortcuts for these browsers can be found at:

If you are using JAWS, press function key 6 - you can then copy in the usual
Microsoft manner and paste it wherever you wish.

I say 'JAWS' as I don't know if this is a system or application specific
command.

Subject: [access-uk] finding a website URL

Hi Everyone,

Is there an easy way to find the URL to a website. I will try to explain.
If I am on the internet and find something interesting, but can't recall
every step as to how I got there, is there a way of compiling a URL to get
back to the same point later.

For example, yesterday I found the Zen Stone firmware update, and informed
this list, but it would have been far better if I could have given everyone
a direct URL as Kevin did later.

If there is a way, please someone tell me for future reference.

David
