Hi David,

If you want to make a note of a website, when you're on that webpage, Alt F to open the File menu and arrow down to Send. Right arrow to open the Send sub menu, choose Shortcut to Desktop and you have a shortcut of that site on your desktop. You can cut or copy that shortcut to anywhere else afterwards... As well, from the Send submenu, you can send a link to that webpage as an attachment or the actual webpage itself by email to someone if you wish. If you place a shortcut on your desktop and need to copy the actual URL, open the property of that shortcut and the URL is right there. To open the property dialog use the usual way, focus on the shortcut and bring up the Windows Context menu, or, Alt Enter on the shortcut.

Sorry if that was too detailed instructions!

HTH,
Amro

Subject: [access-uk] finding a website URL

Hi Everyone,

Is there an easy way to find the URL to a website. I will try to explain.
If I am on the internet and find something interesting, but can't recall
every step as to how I got there, is there a way of compiling a URL to get
back to the same point later.

For example, yesterday I found the Zen Stone firmware update, and informed
this list, but it would have been far better if I could have given everyone
a direct URL as Kevin did later.

If there is a way, please someone tell me for future reference.

David
