Hi Katherine, when I went to see Hannah for the day, I did just that, and it
certainly solved the fact that Outlook Express wasn't running at all, even
after a reboot, but it hasn't solved the problem she's got now. In fact, I
had to delete all her identity settings from the registry, as well as delete
the dbx files, in order for Outlook Express to run at all. So this won't
help I don't think. Thanks though, greatly appreciated.

If I was having problems with Outlook Express the first thing I'd try,
rather than downgrading, would be to copy all the dbx folders (where the
e-mail is stored) somewhere else as a back up, then delete all the
originals. Then start Outlook Express again and if it works properly, close
it and reintroduce the folders one by one (opening OE in between each one).

If you want further help on trying this let me know, I've done it lots of
times which isn't a good thing but it's a useful thing :-)
