Hello I have just ordered a similar from Amazon, who then go through Ligo. It has not yet arrived, but I bought it for the same reasons mentioned below by Yusuf. I intend my purchase to be a replacement for all of the phones in the house. Once I had worked out the Panasonic model numbering it was easy to choose: KX-TG 8561 1 handset. KX-TG 8562 2 handsets. KX-TG 8563 3 handsets. KX-TG 8564 4 handsets. Easy, isn't it. Regards, John. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Yusuf Sent: Friday, January 25, 2013 10:25 AM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: landline phones which will speek the caller id Hi robin, Thanks for reminding me, I had intended to write back with the solution I found. I've recently purchased a Panasonic - KX-TG 8561 Cordless Phone. It has in built talking caller ID which, at least in my phone, was automatically turned on. You will need sighted assistance if you want to change any of the phone functions, say the ringer, or set the time, or create your own answer phone message. But, despite that I feel its still better than the RNIB's talking cordless phone because it has more functionality. I got mine from LiGo electronics www.ligo-electronics.co.uk when I purchased a couple of weeks ago it cost around £42 including P&P.
