Always thought Optima must be on the web, and they have a very 
wide range of low vision aids, both trad optical ones, and some 
electronic and techno stuff.  Take a look at:

Hi Justin

This company sell a gadget called a mono-mouse for £99.  It's 
basically a
camera in a mouse that plugs directly into the back of a TV.  You 
run it
over text and an enlarged image is shown on screen.  More 
expensive than a
magnifying glass, but cheaper than a CCTV.  Here's the site:
