Hi. System Access also has magnification and it's quite good as you can invert colours. SA is mainly used for it's screen reading capabilities and will set you back £270 or £25 per month as a subscription and you get the network for that amount as well. All upgrades are free and you can cancel the monthly service at any time. You can use the network to use the socializer which is the same as MSN but it's blind friendly. It also has a e-mail client and radio stations. You can join the community forums to post questions to the users list. There are many other forums. They have audio described movies without the picture and you can listen to them or download them to an victor reader stream. ?There are many more features and you can read all about them at www.serotek.com and sign up for a 30 day trial to see if you like it or not.

I tried MAGIc in 40 minute mode (it came on my JAWS CD), and it appears to be very good, even though i don't have enough vision to see the magnification. It can magnify up to 36 times, has lots of "enhancements", uses the familiar Eloquence speech that is used in JAWS (RealSpeak Solo Direct and I believe SAPI4/5 are also supported). The screen reading features are of course not as comprehensive as JAWS, but I could certainly browse the web, fill out forms, chat on MSN, etc. Hope this helps.

Subject: [access-uk] magnification for computer

Hi Folk,
I am writing on behalf of a friend who would like a magnification programme for her computer. Does anyone have experience of Supernova's magnification or
Zoom text and how they compare
Any help greatly appreciated
Cheers
Brendan
