Hi Brian

I'm not sure what you're saying here, but the latest nebula USB modules do
not require an external power supply as long as your computer has a meaty
power supply unit. My office computer has a 400 watt PSU and can run a
master and slave unit without any external power with no trouble at all.
However, I have a micro computer in the lounge with another master and slave
combination which does need the help of a powered hub to run the two units
successfully. That computer however only has a 180 watt PSU.

So any new users with modern computers shouldn't have a problem running
several units from the on-board USB sockets, there may only be a problem
with micro computers and some laptops.

Finally, I'm told that the nebula system now supports sleep and hibernation
mode, depending on your computer and will wake up a minute or so before any
timed recordings and go back to sleep a few minutes after the timed
recording has finished.

Oh, and one other thing, hitting page down on the keyboard will start the
playback fast forwarding through the recorded file. Each time you hit the
page down key it cycles through 2x 4x 6x 8x 16 x and I think 32x. to stop
the fast forward, press P to pause and P again to start normal playback, so
you don't need to use the remote control if you prefer to access all
playback commands through the keyboard.

I've found that the more you work with digiTV the more rewarding it becomes,
my only pet hate is that there's no way you can record a DVD with audio
description. But I love the fact that you can listen to radio recordings
using winamp.

Regards

Steve Green

No it needs external power which is again why I would prefer the internal
card. If we get to the stage at any point where we want this on another PC
in another room, then I will get the card and use the USB wherever that
location is.
