AVG isn't the issue as far as I can tell. I've been using it for over two years now. Something weird does seem to have happened to Outlook Express though. My alt-gr key stops working when OE is in focus over the last week, plus I had the phantom messages which I ggot rid of by unchecking view by conversation.

Cheers
Dave

I've used AVG free with OE before, with no such problems listed. Hope
that helps.

I have the same problem since about 8th November, but it doesn't actually
hang the PC if you wait long enough. I did a Ctrl+Alt+Del and when I
chose
to end the programme, OE was listed as not responding...

Touch wood, it's working most of the time. Just a thought, is everyone
that
has this problem using AVG?
