Hi Petrina
This happened to me yesterday. You need to download the latest version of
Windows Defender and install it. You may need to uninstall your current
version of Windows Defender.

Subject: [access-uk] problems with window's defender.

Hi all,

When I booted up my computer, I had the following message come up, Windows
defender application failed to initialise 0x800106ba. A problem caused
windows defender service to stop, to start the service restart your computer
or search help and support, on how to start a service, manually, default
button ok. I all so get the same message come up, when I try to access the
program from the start menu. Thanks in advance, for any help you can give
with this one.
All the best, and a happy new year,
Petrina,
