Public means everyone will see your status if they look for it. Friends
means only people who follow you or you follow will see it.

When I try to send a comment I get a message asking me to upload a file, and
in fact, I am unable tosend the message unlessI attach a file. Also when I
change my status I am not sure if I should choose friends or public. Any
help would be appreciated.
