in the latest versions of skype under audio tab you can change the
headphones, the speaker and ringing. Ringing is the one you want to change.
Unles you are using an old version of Windows (Windows ME or older) I see no
good reason not to upgrade to the latest version of skype as it is
reasonably accessible.
