[access-uk] Re: running two anti virus products on one system?

Arry, Steganos is really Kaspersky underneath, seemingly. Could be
that Steganos has put a prettier interface on it thus clobbering
accessibility for us.

Interestingly, and a bit pathetically in my view, NOD32 is slagged
somewhat for the look and operation of its interface, which I've never
had a problem with. Just another case of extreme visual ness getting
in the way of accessibility.

You would have thought that those who develop software authoring
programs could and should let these pretty boys have it their way
without making our needs a total exclusion zone.

Hi Martin,
I really wouldn't risk trying to run the two together. I once tried,
and it
worked fine until one day the Norton I had downloaded an update which
somehow clashed with the other antivirus and I had to get someone to
format
the whole computer because I couldn't access the Internet and Norton
wouldn't responde to anything. On the subject of security, I agree,
the
choices we have are getting less and less. I get Computer Shopper from
Tnauk
over there, and they recommended Steganos. Tried it, quite
inaccessible.
I've found Trend Micro to be quite accessible, but CS rated it right
near
the bottom for performance. I wonder what Kaspersky would be like? I
probably don't want to stay with Trend Micro, but I've also tried
F-Secure,
and could also not use many of its features. I shall hopefully be able
to
try more products so that I can give feedback, but I'd love to know
what
security suites some of you guys are using without problems?
Ari
