David,
If you move to the Start button, use the Application key to bring up
the menu and select Properties, then move to the Task Bar tab, there are
several settings in there which group, show or hide System Tray icons. These
may help.

Hi David, Don't know if this will help. In my system tray there is a button
just under the clock which is show or hide system tray icons. If you press
enter when the cursor is on it you should get a load more system tray items
appearing.
