I'm definitely running windows xP not sure about all the updates
although I do have automatic updates west.

As a separate issue: any ideas why: when I use WMP to listen to music
on the radio or even a disk, when I am using msn although I can read
people's messages and type back I cannot look at what I am writing it
just says blank. It also seems to interfere with Microsoft email as,
again, when I try to see who emails are from it says blank.

Hi Many,

What version of Windows are you running? As I recall, you need to be
running Windowsx XP Service Pack 1 at least.

I've just installed IE7 and thought I may as well download Windows
defender but on trying to do so was given the message to the effect,
this download is not supported by your processor please see vender for
details. What does this mean? Would it be because I am not running a
genuine version of Microsoft Office 2003 which I purchased from EBay?
I've managed to install other downloads but I did notice that this said
it is for genuine Windows products. Was there an earlier version of
Windows defender? I am using Adaware and also AVG for antivirus
protection so do I need anything else?

Mandy.
