Hi All,
Closing the loop on Zilker concert by confirming the following:
- See attached run-through doc for the flow of the evening.
- *Call/Sound check is 4:30. Downbeat is confirmed at 5:15 (earlier
start time). ACWE plays until 6:00 when the ceremony is set to start.*
- ACWE will play transition music 2x during the ceremony (Thomas will
share more during rehearsals). Drum roll w/ countdown to tree lighting.
Then, play all of *Joy to the World*, then we're 'dismissed' to pack
up, etc.
- See attached parking map. Directions can read as follows:* ACWE
members can enter the park through either of the green routes, from Barton
Springs Road or from MOPAC and then follow through to the Polo Parking
Field (the big triangle). That is actually going to be the closest to the
Orchestra’s Tent (in white on the map) to unload. Previously they may have
unloaded from the road segment in red between those two small parking lots,
but that’s actually going to be farther than unloading from the Polo Field
where you would need to park anyway. You may just want to think ahead in
the event of rainy conditions to plan to unload from that red segment to
avoid some of the turf area. City team will be in touch if inclement
weather persists that day.*
