I understood after the last conversation (with someone...) that we weren't
doing reading sessions. I personally really don't have time to pull music for
those. They're a surprising amount of work.

So if AISD starts school on August 15, our start up date would be August 23.
Does everyone agree with this?
Also, in our last ACWE board meeting we discussed having summer reading
sessions. Is this still in the plans? If so, we should be announcing these
both during rehearsals and in our website.

A few of us were discussing this evening that it would probably be good to
announce to the band when we’re starting back up in the fall before we break
for the summer. I don’t think we’ve discussed that yet, have we?
A note: AISD is, I believe, starting a bit earlier this year than in the last
few years. The first day of school is August 15.
