Indeed -- the discussion was about LLNL's miniature-piston-pump work,
which was mostly in the late 1990s, and XCOR's piston-pump work started
soon after that.
Have Screw Pumps ever been tried for this application?

only 3 parts, no pulsation.
As I understand it, they're typically pretty heavy for the flow rate.
How much you care about that depends on the application.
The Stellar Exploration monoprop-hydrazine system on Capstone reportedly
uses an (electric) gear pump.
