Hi everyone, I’m a student in a university amateur rocketry club and we are
looking to cast our own custom hybrid fuel grains. We are looking to do a base
of paraffin and/or HTPB. Does anyone have recommendations for additives and
their ratios, or sources that may help figure those out? Having actual data
from a static fire or launch of grains with these ratios would be the most
helpful. We have some experience with carbon black and aluminum powder. When
cast the fuel grain should be comparable to a M1575 motor.
TL;DR Looking for a “recipe” for a custom hybrid fuel grain comparable to a
M1575 motor.
