Today's sort of title for that kind of article is "This One Weird
Trick Will Get You To Orbit".
But despite its author being fooled into writing "the rocket component
is not a necessity for putting an object into orbit", really they'd
need a second weird trick, too: an orbiting rotating tether to pick up
the projectile and fling it forward.
