No, what I require is a pin designed for shear.
When I was a racing mechanic they were called “pull pins” but I didn’t
recall that until after this conversation.
They were also used differently in racing cars (as temporary, cleco-like
tooling) than I have seen them used in aerospace (more permanent, pull
before launch sort of fasteners). But that all likely just a product of my
individual experience.
