Deeper than what? :-) Experimental RL10 variants demonstrated throttling
to 1%.
Deeper than *conventional wisdom* about attainable throttling range, yes.
But there have been other exceptions to that conventional wisdom, if you
look for them. Many aspects of rocket-engine conventional wisdom are
based on pretty flimsy evidence, when examined carefully. Only a few
small corners of the design space are actually well explored, mostly in
the immediate vicinity of things that happened to work well when first
tried in the 1950s.
