It's been a busy birding year and a recent posting to the Bristol Bird club listserv by Wallace Coffey just reminded me of the Peregrine falcons that were released last year at the Breaks Interstate park. I'm sure you guys remember Roger Mayhorn's photos of the falcons. For those of you interested the story of the eyases (young falcons) can be found on the Virginia Inland Game and Fishery (VGDIF) site at this address: http://www.dgif.virginia.gov/falconcam/ Additionally as Wallace pointed out one the falcons was injured from flying into glass and is recovering in Lanham Md. Info can be found at this site: http://wahzoh.blogspot.com/2007/09/falcon-rescue-part-ii.html Thanks to Wallace for helping us remember a historical event! Who knows what 2008 will bring? Don Carrier
