Several newcomers to birding joined David Raines and myself for a great day of
birding at Breaks Interstate Park's Nature Weekend Celebration. Bird club
members Chuck and Veronica Ratliff along with several Boy Scouts and their
parents were present for the walk. Notable species were Yellow-billed Cuckoo,
FOS Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, several Bay-breasted Warblers and a couple of
Yellow-rumped Warblers. David and I were very excited about the enthusiasm of
some of the young birders who seemed very interested in the field guides we'd
brought and were full of questions. The eBird report follows.
