Hi All, Among the several resident SCARLET TANAGERS, RED-EYED VIREOS, AMERICAN REDSTARTS and BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLERS in the yard today was our first of the season TENNESSEE WARBLER and a PHILADELPHIA VIREO. This is a couple of days earlier for the TENNESSEES than they normally show up but still well within their migration date range for the area. Don Carrier who was here yesterday thought he saw a TENNESSEE but wasn't sure, but he certainly may have. Don and I logged 38 species here yesterday including a juvenile Northern Mockingbird, which was a surprise, since I don't see them often. The warblers we found here yesterday were BLACK-THROATED GREENS, CHESTNUT SIDED, HOODED, NORTHERN PARULA and YELLOW-BREATED CHAT. We also had the surprising number of 8 BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHERS, probably family groups. The day's complete list is listed below.
