Hi All ,I have just finished working on a six week migration project for OSU on the shores of Lake Erie. Gathering data for them to use in a study for migratory birds and yes I did get paid to watch and count birds. The migration was something to see as we started on April 19 actually gathering data. With the build up of birds warblers, waterfowl, sparrows, thrushes and everything in between. Some days the birds were like gnats in that they were so thick in the trees. It really was a once in a lifetime experience to work it and live the mirgration as it grew to the peak and then slowly passed to the north. I would like to thank Tom Hunter and Roger Mayhorn and Alan Boynton for their references , Alan even called to inform me of a life bird that I need to see a Conneticut Warbler great looks at an elusive bird. The migration was spectacular and a great experience but it could not compare to the Wow when I got to hold my fiancee Annie again after being away from her, what a wonderful thing that was to experience. Great Birding to you! Bob(Bebirding)Riggs
