For the past several days a Great Crested Flycatcher has been hanging around
the edge of our yard. I hope he is nesting nearby. Since they nest in
cavities I was hoping he might nest in one of our nest boxes, but no luck so
far.
A White-eyed Vireo has shown up in the last couple of days. It was calling
from a thicket of blackberry canes. I'm hoping it stays to nest too.
I'm also hoping we get a Yellow-breasted Chat, but I haven't heard one yet.
