This morning two female Baltimore Orioles were feeding in our Crepe Myrtle
bushes. Here on Compton Mt we usually don't get Baltimore Orioles during the
breeding season. In fact I don't have any records of Baltimore Orioles nesting
here on the mountain, though it is not unusual to find them down in the
valleys. Perhaps these two are early migrants or have just moved out of their
nesting area to feed. We see plenty of them during the fall migration.
