My daughter Alyssa and myself spent the day birding with Roger Mayhorn on Compton Mountain. Despite the forecast we managed to dodge the rain for most of the day. Saw lots of Indigo Buntings, American Redstarts, Cerulean Warblers, Scarlet Tanagers and many others. The highlight of my day, other than my daughter asking to go, was a Yellow-billed Cuckoo. That was a life bird for both of us. Thanks to Roger and Lynda for their never-ending hospitality. Only problem is that I think that Alyssa is now ready to move in with the Mayhorns. She loved their place and her best friend lives right next door. Hope you have plenty of M&M's Roger! :) Daryl Owens from not-so-Dismal River Sent from my iPod==========================================================Mailing List For Buchanan County Bird Club website: www.bcbirdclub.org Archives: http://www.freelists.org/archives/bcbirdclub =========================================================ministrative contact: donc@xxxxxxxxxxxxx =========================================================
