Hi All, Twenty-five birders joined us today here on Compton Mt to enjoy the fall migration. Even though this year was a bit slower, as far as bird numbers were concerned, we still counted 50 species. The warblers that came through were Am Redstart Blackburnian Black-throated Blue Black-throated Green Blue-winged Chestnut-sided Hooded Magnolia Nashville Prairie Yellow-throated Worm-eating The 1st winter female Prairie Warbler came in to the stream after everyone had left. I have included a photo of it at the end of this message. The day was a great success with good birds, good fellowship, excellent food and great weather. Who could ask for more? Thanks to everyone who brought the delicious foods, and great conversation. Thanks to Fred & Janice Martin and to Michael Crouse for their gifts. Thanks to Dave Worley for bringing his extra tables. All were much appreciated. The day's complete list is below.
