[bcbirdclub] Yet Another Golden Eagle

I had an adult Golden Eagle on US Route 19 just north of the Elk Garden
School. I saw a large bird perched in a tree on the hillside on the east
side of the road and pulled into a crossover to investigate. As soon as I
got the glasses on it, I confirmed that it was a Golden Eagle. I had only
watched a few seconds when it took flight giving some great looks. It began
to circle gaining altitude and soon disappeared over the top of the hill.
I wonder just how many individuals are in this area this winter.
