Jerry, My best guess is that there are between 12 and 15 Golden Eagles wintering on either Beartown/Rich Mt or House and Barn Mountain. My high count was 8 last year and that was conservative. I have noticed that they appear to be in the lower elevations earlier than normal. Must not be much food up high because the weather has not been a factor. When I began looking for them in earnest 7 or 8 years ago, a good day was seeing one.
