Short walks on Guesses Fork in the morning and evening yielded the
following warblers: Chestnut-sided, Black-throated Green, Tennessee,
Black-and-White, Redstart, Ovenbird, Hooded, and a Wilson's Warbler that
sent me scurrying to my Sibley for confirmation, despite having seen
a million (actual count, haha) of them at Magee Marsh a couple of years
ago.
Other birds included Rain Crow (Yellow-billed Cuckoo), Rose-breasted
Grosbeak, Scarlet Tanager, Pileated Woodpecker, Peewee, Red-eyed Vireo, one
Philadelphia Vireo, and an abundance of Wood Thrushes.
Note: Screech Owls and Barred Owls have been calling every evening for
weeks.
