During a private meeting Wednesday, President Biden proposed a new 15 percent
minimum tax rate for corporations as a way to prevent dozens of companies from
paying little to no taxes. This comes after Republicans had largely balked at
his proposal to raise the corporate rate from 21 percent to 28 percent.
Negotiations are set to resume on Friday.
