This morning I arose feeling better than I've felt since I turned
50...or was it 60...hmm...
But I said to Cathy, "I feel better than I've felt since the last
solar eclipse". And so it came to pass that after I'd had my morning
coffee and toast, and listened to Flashpoint, we headed off to meet
our daughter Renae and her three delightful daughters. Our goal was
to return home with one for the weekend, Gracie, an energetic 11 year
old who has bonded with Grandma Cathy. We met them at our property at
Kala Point and showed them the future retirement home of our dreams.
We took Gracie off to lunch at her favorite restaurant, the one where
she can sit and eat while watching the big Ferries disgorge their
loads of cars, trucks and people, and then through the car wash,
Gracie's most favorite thing to do! . Then, thinking that life could
not possibly get better; it did. I booted up my computer and the
first message screamed out at me, "Steve Bannon Fired!" Maybe there
really is a God! Behold my little children, see what I can do, and
then undo whenever I feel like it?" Okay, maybe if we're really
good and drop a few bucks in the offering plate come Sunday,
maybe...just maybe He will pluck up Donald Trump along with a truck
load of others, and put them down on Mars.
Actually, now that I'm coming back down, the only thing Bannon's
firing signals, is that our nation's "leadership" is in one huge Hell
of a mess.
And while I should end right there, I can't help but remind us that
when a government is in a huge Hell of a mess, they usually start a
war somewhere. Sleep tight on that one, my little Chickadees.
