I attend an Accessible World discussion group using Zoom and I have tried it with both the software on my computer and by phone. I would suggest that you might want to try it out through your computer. None of us can see each other, but it is amazing just how clearer everyone sounds using the software and if you are using the software it is pretty obvious which participants are calling in by phone. They do not come in nearly as loud and clear.

“Every aspect of Nature reveals a deep mystery and touches our sense of wonder
and awe. Those afraid of the universe as it really is, those who pretend to
nonexistent knowledge and envision a Cosmos centered on human beings will
prefer the fleeting comforts of superstition. They avoid rather than confront
the world. But those with the courage to explore the weave and structure of the
Cosmos, even where it differs profoundly from their wishes and prejudices, will
penetrate its deepest mysteries.”

Miriam,
There is an old wives tale that we improve with age.  I'm here to tell
you...uh, what was I saying?
Anyway, I was going to tell you that if you can't get back on the
list, maybe Mohammad could show you how he manages to keep showing up.
If not, then my 13 year old grand daughter set Cathy up with a
system(not Zoom)that enables them to see each other and talk together
on their computers.
Speaking of Zoom, most of our Washington Council committees are now
meeting on Zoom.  I use the telephone number, since I don't need to
"see" the other members.  We just had our WCB summer board meeting.
It wasn't Zoom, but whatever it was, it worked very well.  The good
news is that we're canceling our WCB Convention that was scheduled for
the end of October.  The SeaTac Double Tree Inn is still closed, and
can only hope to be open by October.  Instead, we're going to hold a
Virtual Convention.  ACB was pleased with their virtual convention,
and I've not heard any negative reports from the NFB.  California
Council also held a virtual convention.
Maybe this will be the wave of the future.  More folks can afford to
attend, than through a live one.

Subject: [blind-democracy] Messages in junk mail folder

I just found a bunch of blind democracy messages in my junk folder. I have
no idea how they got blocked and sent there. I've just unblocked the sender
on one of them which, theoretically, should mean that the list is now
unblocked. I don't know how that one message of Roger's got through to me,
unless he sent that privately. I forgot to check. Now we'll see what
happens
with this message. Will I receive a copy?

Miriam
