And the most amazing thing about RT is that people, almost everyone who
comments on it and defends its right to exist, says something about its poor
quality. I don't know a thing about its quality aside from On Contact which is
Chris Hedges' TV interview program, and I think that not only are his
interviews good, but the introductions made by the RT commentator are also
good. They seem a lot more accurate than the commentators I hear on NPR. So
what does that say about me, or RT?

Miriam,
As the noose tightens around our free internet access,I fear that we may
eventually lose many of our reliable sources of information. I also wonder how
long RT-TV will continue being able to broadcast in the Free Air of the good
old US of A.

You know that I've been collecting podcasts on my second generation stream.
Of the 200 listed on the stream in the category of news and current
events, there was something called Crone News, (which I downloaded and
which very occasionally has information about drone attacks and the
financing of drones and I think, comes from Great Britain), The
Pacifica Evening News, and The Real News Network podcasts. These are
the only alternative news sources listed. I found the rest, including
Democracy Now, by typing them in to a search. And I found a number of
them. But the other day on Flashpoints, Richard Bernstein played a
podcast from The Electronic Infitada. That's a Palestinian website
that gives news about Israel/Palestine. Today I did a search for it.
It isn't available. The Stream uses something called oo Tunes which, I
suppose, is a replica of I Tunes. I've also been unable to find The
Empire File with Abby Martin and they don't have the audio of RT's On
Contact. Very interesting since they have the audio from a whole bunch
of TV programs and Web TV. If I ever feel motivated, I'll look for
Clearing The Fog which is Margaret Flowers and someone, can't remember
offhand who. But apparently, the Russians and the Palestinians are
forbidden.
