Remembrance Sunday, 13 November
Members of Aberdeen City Council, Public Officials and Community
Representatives are invited to attend a ceremony at the War Memorial,
Schoolhill, and thereafter a church service at the Kirk of St Nicholas Uniting.
Representatives of Community Councils (max 2 persons) are invited to attend
and may lay a wreath.
Participants will assemble in the Town and County Hall of the Town House ready
to proceed to the War Memorial in a Civic Procession.
Tea and Coffee will be served in the Town House from 9.45am. Participants
should arrive no later than 10.15am. Parking will be available in the
Marischal College multi-storey car park (off Queen Street).
Those who wish to attend the ceremony but who are unable to participate in the
Civic Procession may meet the parade on its arrival at the War Memorial. In
this instance, please wait at the door of the Cowdray Hall no later than
10.40am.
Following the ceremony, the Civic Procession will proceed to the Kirk of St
Nicholas Uniting for a service of remembrance. Those not available to attend
the church may leave the Procession at the end of the ceremony.
Please indicate in your reply if your Community Council intends to lay a wreath.
