Chip & Ed,
Thanks for the reports.
The Beacon went on the air in October 2015.
Some recent reports include Alabama, Illinois, Oregon, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Arizona, California, Texas, Washington, Nevada, Georgia, and others.
Some DX reports have come from Germany, France, Uruguay, Iceland, Brazil, Wallis & Futuna Islands, Aruba, Puerto Rico, and Argentina.

Some of these are DX spots, some are QSL Cards, some are from a Ten Meter Beacon Reflector, and some are from the Reverse Beacon Network.

A few days ago, I tried using the 1 watt setting on a radio that I got at NEAR-Fest. It was a non-working Heathkit SB-104A. I got it to transmit, but it still did not receive. So I thought what the heck! I need to see how the radio holds up so far. It only draws 4 amps on 1 watt. I got spotted in NW Illinois the next day. The radio crapped out on the third day. I have a friend that says he will look at the radio this week.

Very loud (by ear- not a lot of S-meter action) here in FN34uj. Despite the
cross polarization I can copy it well off to the side as I turn the antenna.
Would be interested to know what DX reports you have received- 10 meters isn't
always dead even at the low end of the solar cycle.

CVARC,
If any of you get a chance, I have a 10 Meter propagation beacon running
30 watts to a vertical on 28.243 MHz.
The radio is a Uniden HR2510.
Signal reports via email are appreciated.
I might try to get on next week when you folks do this again.

Easy copy, Q5, strong signals.  I think we can work across a significant chunk
of Vermont.

Everyone has privileges on 10 meter USB between 28.3 and 28.5.  We'd love to
see some Technicians participate.  Get on 10 meters and use it!  The antennas
are small and easy to put up.

We are thinking of forming a simple roundtable that would meet on 10 meters
once a week.  Who else would be interested, and what would be a good evening
for this?
