Information to help you travel this Easter   


This Easter major construction works will be underway to improve Victoria’s 
train and tram networks. Major works will be carried out over 11 days from 17 – 
27 April 2014 during which time you will notice some changes to your normal 
Metro, V/Line and tram services.

  on the corner of Victoria Parade and Nicholson Street in East Melbourne will 
impact the following tram routes from 17-26 April, 2014:

        Buses
Bus services will run as normal. However, some delays are expected in East 
Melbourne due to tram works so allow extra time for your journey.

Despite the works, extra trains and trams will run to all AFL matches across 
the long weekend and ANZAC Day.

 Travel this ANZAC Day  
 
Special ANZAC Day services will operate, to get you to and from the Shrine of 
Remembrance for the Dawn Service. 


If you’re a Veteran or War Widow, you can travel for free on Victoria’s public 
transport network on 24, 25 and 26 April 2014. Just wear your uniform or carry 
the appropriate ID and you won’t need to use your myki.


On ANZAC Day Friday, 25 April 2014 free travel is extended to Australian 
Defence Force members, Scouts and Guides and school students travelling to 
ANZAC Day parades, provided you are wearing your uniform.


If you are not eligible for free travel on ANZAC Day, top up with myki money 
and you will only pay the weekend and public holiday rate of $6 for all day 
travel in Zones 1 and 2. 


Remember, your trains, trams and buses will run to a different timetable on 
ANZAC Day so check the journey planner
