Guide Dogs Australia is conducting a brief survey to assist with a community
awareness campaign for International White Cane Day 2018, in October.
The survey below is to find out about your experiences when using a white cane
(ID cane or long cane). You may have received this survey on behalf of a child
in your care. If you have never used an ID cane or long cane then please ignore
this email, but otherwise, it would be fantastic if you wouldn't mind spending
a few minutes filling it in. Your feedback really assists us to articulate the
challenges people with vision loss face and advocate for better public
awareness.
To ensure this survey is completely accessible, we recommend that you complete
it on a PC if you have one, or call Guide Dogs in your state and we will be
happy to assist you over the phone.
This survey will close on Friday 31 August.
You can access our survey here > https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/5W8YKJD

Subject: [dbaust] Red and White Cane for Deafblind
Hi Everyone
At the WFDB conference in June. One of the issues that came up at the GA was a
Red And White cane which would show that a person is Deafblind. I am trying to
find out what Deafblind People think about this. Attached is a description of
the cane. Please let me know what you think. Would you like to use this or not?
Wfdb are trying to get it reconised all over the World.
Thank you,
Irene McMinn.
