This email is notify you about the changes to road and train services as part
of the Bayswater Level Crossing Removal Project.
To allow works to be carried out safely, there will be disruptions to Mountain
Highway and Scoresby Road and train services on the Belgrave line throughout
October, November and December.
ROAD CLOSURES
. Scoresby Road will be closed at the level crossing from 9pm
Friday 21 October - Monday 24 October
. Mountain Highway will be closed at the level crossing from
mid-November - Friday 23 December
. Station Street will be closed between Mountain Highway and Pine
Road from Saturday 5 November - Sunday 11 December. Pedestrian and local access
will be maintained for residents and businesses.
Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes. Businesses on Mountain
Highway, Scoresby Road and Station Street will remain open for business during
these closures.
TRAIN STATION CLOSURES
On Saturday 15 October, Bayswater Station will close for demolition and to
build new modern transport interchanges. Trains will continue to run (except
during the planned disruptions - see below), however they will not stop at
Bayswater Station. Train replacement buses will operate between Heathmont and
Boronia stations.
BELGRAVE LINE CHANGES
From 8pm on Friday 21 October to the last service on Sunday 24 October, buses
will replace trains on the Belgrave line between Ringwood and Belgrave
stations.
From 8pm on Friday 4 November to the last service Sunday 11 December, buses
will replace trains on the Belgrave line between Ringwood and Belgrave
stations. A mixture of limited express and stopping all stations buses will be
operating to provide fast and direct services. Customers should allow up to 30
minutes extra travel time during these times.
From 9.30pm Friday 25 November to the last service on Sunday 27 November, buses
will replace trains on the Belgrave/Lilydale line between Box Hill and Belgrave
stations. Customers should allow up to 45 minutes extra travel time during
these times.
TRAIN REPLACEMENT BUS STOP
During the upcoming disruptions and road closures, the Bayswater train
replacement bus stop will be located on Bayswater Road, in front of Bayswater
Oval. Parking is available at the Oval, and customer service staff will be
available to assist customers from first to last service.
A shuttle service will be available from Bayswater Station (Station Street) to
the bus stop on Bayswater Road, during peak periods only (7am-7pm). Outside of
peak times, a customer service staff member will be available to assist and can
arrange an accessible taxi service.
TRAVEL ASSISTANCE
An accessible taxi will be on standby for customers who may need additional
assistance and cannot board train replacement bus services.

1800 800 007. Taxis will be arranged during this period if other transport
