Are you implying that I said something disrespectful? To whom? Regarding
what?
Until I said anything, this list has continuously and consistently bashed
the literature program. I sat in silence and read every thread on the
subject.

Then, one email describing one anonymous teacher who wasn't teaching the
literature but merely playing a tape of it and the program gets blamed. I
speak out and I'm "mud-slinging", "scathing" and now "disrespectful". All
because I refuse to allow "the system" to be a scapegoat.

I don't appreciate the insinuating remarks against me ever since I "stuck
up" for "the system". Is everyone really so down on the MOE that when one
teacher defends them, she is attacked with such accusations as to say that
I insinuated

*"that a teacher who has difficulty or finds fault with the new program is
incompetent whilst blowing your own horn"*

when in fact my exact words were, "my comment was not aimed at all teachers
of English in Israel, nor *was it aimed at all teachers who are against the
program*."

I have apologized and, in the best way that I can, presented my side
(defending the MOE) as humbly as I possibly could and yet I continue to
receive emails filled with not only attacks against me, but with a gross
misquotation of what I actually said.

So it would only make sense that when you wrote,

*"It saddens me that this list; which I believed was founded as a helping
hand to English teachers all over the country has turn into a slap in the
face for anyone who does not tow the party line,"*

that you were not speaking about me doing the face slapping, rather about
everyone else who has attacked me for my comments of defending a system
that has been consistently bashed since its implementation. Because
clearly as the minority here (in defending the Lit. program), I am the one
who is "not towing the party line."

In other words, it's okay to speak your mind on this list as long as it
agrees with what everyone is saying in the first place... even at the
expense of an entire organization who is trying their best to create a
system that encompasses the entire spectrum of learning institutions in
this country.

Now I am disappointed in this list.
