[etni] E-Readers

Dear ETNIers,
Do any of you have experience with e-readers/ (Kindle, NOOK, etc.?) Aside
from being environmentally friendly, I was thinking that since it is so hard
for me to get recent books in English (no good English lending library in my
neck of the woods) it might be a good and cheaper way, in the long run, to
get good books to read. After reading up about the NOOK, while it looks
cheaper and more attractive in other respsects, I understand that you have
to be in a Barnes and Noble story to buy it (not a convenient option in
Israel).
So - any comments?
