Dear Hannah,
Thank you for sharing this lovely idea. Why not write it up (including the
different wishes that you collected) and send it in, to be uploaded and
saved for all to see on the ETNI Teachers for Teachers section? I have put
things there in the past, and when I can't remember where I saved it on m y
own computer, I just look it up there! Everyone benefits.

All the best,
Adele

I wanted to express my thanks to those who answered my request for
"autograph album wishes." With your help and "brainstorming our memories "
I was able to put together a lovely project for my 8th grade girls. More
than half of my English class is leaving for ulpanot, leaving the girls they
have been studying with since first grade. For the project I gave each girl
a blank 40 page notebook (simplest type). I designed a cover page with the
school's name and date on the cover. I also printed out several pages for
them to fill out (in English of course). There was a page entitled "These
are a few of my favourite things" with categories such as favourite song,
singer, food, etc. Another page "Let's keep in touch" - in which the girls
had a place for addresses, e-mails, phone numbers. I also included a
birthday list to be filled in, "Famous last words," and a place to list
the names of all the teachers who taught them since first grade. The list
of various wishes w
as distributed and reviewed at the beginning of the lesson and I walked
around the room spelling words and helping the girls . The only "rule" was
that in the English class the wishes had to be written in English. Whoever
they wanted to collect wishes from after class could be written in Hebrew.
One of the girls assembled a notebook for me and passed it around for the
girls to write to me.

The girls absolutely loved the idea, and thanked me profusely for doing this
for them. I enjoyed every minute of it and it's so heartwarming seeing my
students requesting autographs from other teachers and staff. If anyone is
interested I can forward the page of wishes that I collected from my various
sources.
Have a great summer holiday.
Shabbat Shalom
Hannah Katten
