Hi to all,
I have written in the ETAI FORUM about all the important reasons to
attend conferences...In 1996, I attended TESOL which was held in
Chicago for all the reasons I have mentioned...and also because my
mother lives there and it was an opportunity to visit her!...For those
of you who do not know Chicago, it has an amazing Art Museum and it is
also famous for its architecture--so the theme of that conference was
"The Art of TESOL". One of the special events of that conference was a
debate..the topic was : TESOL is a science, not an art"...[

participants were Diane Larsen Freemen, Henry Widdowson and Elana
Shohamy. We are sorry that Henry is not joining us...but we are very
excited and pleased that Diane is giving the opening plenary, and Elana
is giving the closing plenary...
Our opening Gala event covers art, science and social...please join us
on Sunday and for the rest of the week!
