Please could grade 11 teachers save my teaching soul and share their students' results on the E.F.G modules in the new bagrut- here on etni. For the last 12 years my students { a mix of English speakers and very able Israelis}have scored an average of 93-95% on the 5 point Bagrut - This year - like everyone else - my students and I have worked harder than ever to meet the required standards - AND!!?? DISASTER! These students who on ALL of the SAMPLE tests we received recently, got over 90% and in ALL the practice papers - NEVER got less than 88% on the F/G modules- received some grades in the E/F/G modules in the 60's and 70's! These were the intelligentand until now successful English speakers! {there were also some good results - but this was LESS common} So - what will happen next year to the Israeli students in grade 12? I have received feedback that other schools in the area received similar poor grades in grade 11. It would be very ironic if results prove that11th grade English Speakers scored over 10% LESS than in previous years. sincerely frustrated - Janette Segal- Ranana ##### To send a message to the ETNI list email: etni@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ##### ##### Send queries and questions to: ask@xxxxxxxx #####
