Last year I spoke with our Civics teacher (ezrachut) who told us that there
is (was at that time) a new program for their subject. The teachers who
were teaching the subject had to take part in an in-service training
course. However, he proceeded to tell us that they were being paid for
doing the course. How this was done, i don't know. How much he received, I
don't know. I didn't think to ask. Honestly, I was so taken aback when he
told us this.
Has anyone else heard this information from another ezrachut teacher to
verify?
And, If so, why is it okay to remunerate in-service course participants in
one new area of study and not for another?
