As I've said in previous postings, I've heard this from Civics teachers,
History teachers and "Lashon" teachers.  They got gmulim and hours for
changes in their curriculum, above and beyond the gmul or half a guml for
taking courses.  However, one History teacher also told me that they were
entitled to an extra hour because of the change in their curriculum but the
municipality wouldn't pay.  She also said that she was glad that her
curriculum keeps changing because it keeps her on her toes.
