no, you're wrong. it doesn't say that the kids get to use only one tape, and
choose whether they was a tape to listen to or a tape to tape their answers.
it just says that they can't have a reader, which means that they can use 2
tapes, if they so desire. there are kids who need the listening tape,
because they have problems reading. and they also need the recording tape,
because they have probvlems writing. in the past, before the 2 tapes, they
were given an oral exam. but then the ministry cracked down on the orals and
did the two tapes (with a reader) and made it almost impossible to get an
accomodation of an oral exam. now, who knows? i want to apply for an oral
exam for these kids, but i don't know how or what my chances are of getting
it.
